Family & couple therapy

As a couple and family therapy consultant, I provide professional support in the following areas and life situations.

How can I help?

Relational roadblocks and communication

Frequent conflicts, emotional distancing, trust crises, commitment difficulties, and the unique challenges of blended (patchwork) families.

Family life cycle transitions and crises

Becoming a couple, the empty nest stage, changes in family structure, as well as loss and grief within the family.

Parenting and becoming a parent

Family planning, the challenges of the transition to parenthood and the early childhood years, connecting with adolescent children, and learning to let go.

Mind–body connection

Family- and relationship-focused support for eating disorders, anxiety symptoms, or chronic health crises.

Transgenerational patterns and parental roles

Understanding and rewriting inherited family dynamics and behavioural reactions.

Tensions caused by social and environmental changes

The impact of relocation, career changes, or social and financial uncertainties on family dynamics.

How does the process work?

The co-therapy setting

Couple and family therapy is traditionally a co-therapy format: two practitioners are present in the consultation space at the same time.

A common question: why is this an advantage for couples and families?

The joint presence of two professionals provides a more balanced, nuanced view of family dynamics. Furthermore, dual observation and continuous professional reflection allow for deeper and more effective support throughout the process.
